One of Karina's dreams was to visit a chocolate factory. When Dani mentioned she was friends with someone who worked at Chocolat du Jour, we saw it as the perfect opportunity!
Visiting a Chocolate Factory
We visited the factory-atelier located in Lapa, São Paulo. As soon as we arrived, we got to know the brand's concept store and all the products in their line. Pati, the company's marketing manager, welcomed us into a small meeting room and presented the brand's history along with a dream tasting, full of various chocolates from the line and even hot chocolate :)

Chocolat du Jour works exclusively with fine cocoa. Because it has a differentiated raw material, the result of the chocolates is unique. The cocoa beans are grown on a farm located in southern Bahia, and the entire process is controlled by the company.
After the tasting, we visited the factory itself. There we got to see the manufacturing, packaging, and shipping departments.
We were surprised by the du Jour team with a small table where we could create our own chocolates. Each of us chose a type of chocolate (white or 75% cocoa) and which nuts or toppings we wanted to add.

Some interesting facts about the brand:
- It was founded by Cláudia, who in the 80s started making fine truffles at home. The founder took a chocolate course in Belgium, and realizing that this type of product didn't exist in Brazil, she saw the perfect opportunity to start the business.
- From the very beginning, the brand sought to create beautiful and eye-catching packaging. The colors pink and purple have always been present in Chocolat du Jour's visual identity.
