In this post, we'll give you some suggestions for decorating your kitchen and making it super cute!
1 • Have plants
Having a small potted plant on the table or on a shelf makes the kitchen brighter and cozier. How about creating a mini herb garden? Besides decorating the space, you'll be able to season your food with fresh, homegrown herbs. Basil, parsley, chives are all great options...

I saw this photo from Life is a Party and thought it was super cute! She created planters using cans and paper tags for an extra touch of charm. It's a cute option to recycle that condensed milk can, and you can even paint it like Jess did in this video to make the planter even cuter.

2 • Hide packaging and labels
There are several options for containers that will make your cabinets and shelves look prettier. It might sound a bit crazy, but food labels can sometimes clutter the visual space, so having them in small jars will solve that! Another option is to only keep frequently used items, like salt, sugar, and rice, in visible jars.A good option is to reuse jars from hearts of palm, olives, etc., to store your food!

3 • Use kitchen items for decoration
Using a cute colander as a fruit bowl is a cool way to decorate! Rethink the use of some items and incorporate them into your decor. How about stacking your favorite plates and small bowls on a shelf? Besides having everything at hand, the environment will look adorable. In Jess's photo, you can see her colander with a pumpkin inside, being used as a fruit bowl.

This photo by Natalia from My Petit Apartment has some cool details: the cup on the shelf being used as a cutlery holder and the other small pot on the counter with spoons and other larger utensils for decoration.

4 • Cookbooks (and decor books)
Placing your cookbooks and recipe notebooks in the kitchen will add an extra charm, as well as the practicality of having all your recipes in one place. You can place them on the table, counter, or even on a shelf. In Natalia's photo, the Recipe Notebook is on the counter, along with the small forks.

Jess usually keeps her favorite books together in the kitchen, sometimes on the table with a small plant on top, and sometimes on the shelf.

5 • Refrigerator magnets
Having some magnets will make your fridge door cuter: it can be a photo, a travel magnet, or even a charming magnetic whiteboard (like the one we have at Meg), which is a practical and cute item!

You can also venture out and follow the tutorial from A Beautiful Mess and create your own pom-pom magnets. You can explore this idea and create other models with buttons, painted clothespins...Photo: A Beautiful Mess

In this photo from Studio DIY, we can see almost all the items we mentioned: the small plants, the shelves with kitchen items, the cutting boards on the sink... What makes the environment even more beautiful are the colors, almost all in the same tone, with only one or two items in a stronger color.
