We took advantage of her visit to São Paulo and recorded August's Megers in Action together. Mari is a skating student, so it was only fair to take her to one of Sampa's classic roller rinks: Roller Jam.
An afternoon skating at Roller Jam
Roller Jam has two units, one in Mooca (which was the one we visited) and one in Moema. The space has an 80s-inspired look, with colorful neons, a mirror ball, and an arcade. The rink is large, made of wood, and you can rent skates there if you don't have your own. The soundtrack mixes pop music with older hits, so it's very pleasant to spend some time there!
Fun fact: some famous artists have recorded videos there, such as Jota Quest and Anitta.

Happy Hour at a karaoke bar in Liberdade
To end the day, we went to Tequila's, a karaoke bar in the Liberdade neighborhood. We love going there. The atmosphere is super fun, all decorated with mirrors, blue lights, a mirror ball and the classic televisions that are spread around for everyone to follow the lyrics of the song being sung at the moment.
There is an entrance fee but it includes a drink. The song catalog is very extensive and has national and international options. We went on a Wednesday and it wasn't very crowded. The more crowded it is, the longer it takes for your turn to sing, but just being there is already great.
